The Fraunhofer Institute for Computer Graphics Research IGD focuses on the development of product prototypes (hardware and software) and the realization of concepts, models, and solutions for computer graphics and its adaptation to specific application requirements. The work is complemented by basic research projects and the realization of customized and one-off devices, computer graphics systems, and solutions with pilot character (e.g. virtual and augmented reality, mobile computing, and security technologies). About 200 full-time researchers deal with all aspects of Computer Graphics and its applications. For our customers we perform about 300 studies, research projects and product prototype developments per year. The department “Security Technology” at Fraunhofer Institute for Computer Graphics Research is working on the realization of information assurance and security services (confidentiality, integrity, reliability, availability, etc.) and their integration into information and communication systems. Special interests are the development of security mechanisms and protocols adapted to the particular requirements of multimedia communications and co-operation including access control, copyright protection and management for multimedia data.
IGD will concentrate its efforts on SP2 Management and its research on Performance and Security Testing (WP3.1 leader), Templates Privacy Protection Research (WP2.5) and Combing Different 3D Face Images and Different 3D Algorithms (Task 2.4.3).
